For this task we had to redesign one of four road signs. The road sign that I chose was the road sign for a nuclear power station nearby. This is the original:
To begin with, I started drawing ideas that I could use that is related to nuclear stations or nuclear power:
From these designs, I chose, what I felt was the best combination of the different elements into the image below:
The reason why I chose to use the nuclear symbol is it is relatively similar throughout the world, regardless of the language the audience speaks. The text below the symbol adds detail to what the warning is about to those who speak English.
