What is the process of creating biogas?
Having “chosen” Biogas to research and then make an infographic on the step by step process on how to create “______”. Below is my research for creating biogas and my infographic illustrating this with as few words as possible.
- Biowaste is crushed up and watered down
- Heated to roughly 37°c
- Production takes place using anaerobic digestion in large tanks for 3 weeks
- Gas is purified by having impurities and CO2 removed
Materials that can be turned into biogas includes:
– Biodegradable waste such as lactose extracted from lactose-free products
– Spoiled foods from shops
– Biowaste generated by consumers
– Sludge from wastewater treatment plants
– Manure and field biomass from agriculture
