What is the process of creating biogas?

Having “chosen” Biogas to research and then make an infographic on the step by step process on how to create “______”. Below is my research for creating biogas and my infographic illustrating this with as few words as possible.

  1. Biowaste is crushed up and watered down
  2. Heated to roughly 37°c
  3. Production takes place using anaerobic digestion in large tanks for 3 weeks
  4. Gas is purified by having impurities and CO2 removed

Materials that can be turned into biogas includes:
– Biodegradable waste such as lactose extracted from lactose-free products
– Spoiled foods from shops
– Biowaste generated by consumers
– Sludge from wastewater treatment plants
– Manure and field biomass from agriculture
